The Officeworks agreement prints its July 2024 rates and lifts them each July by the Annual Wage Review percentage plus 0.25% — 3.75% in 2025 and 5% in 2026. The 2026 figures here are our calculation from that rule, rounded to the cent; your payslip may differ by a cent.
From the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2026, the Retail Award pays 18-year-olds with more than 6 months' service 75% of the award rate ($20.86). That is more than Officeworks' 70% of $28.50 ($19.95), and an agreement cannot pay a base rate below the award, so those staff must get at least the award figure.
Which agreement sets Officeworks pay
Officeworks office supplies retail staff are paid under the Officeworks Store Operations Agreement 2024 (AG2024/3078, AE526143). It covers team members in Officeworks stores and Print Hubs, except salaried positions. Customer Fulfilment Centre staff have their own separate agreement.
- Approved by the Fair Work Commission: 30 September 2024 (PR779508), operating from 7 October 2024
- Nominal expiry date: 7 October 2028
- Employer: Officeworks Ltd
Next scheduled increase: First full pay period on or after 1 July 2027. Every level rises by the 2027 Annual Wage Review percentage plus 0.25% (cl 10.2). The agreement does not print the dollar figure.
For the underlying award minimums across every employer in the industry, see Retail Award rates 2026.
Officeworks hourly pay rates by level (adults)
Base hourly rates before tax for adult employees. Casual rates include the 25% casual loading, paid instead of leave entitlements.
| Level | Full-time & part-time | Casual (incl. 25%) |
|---|---|---|
| Team Member Level 1Customer service, stock replenishment, point of sale, despatch, asset protection, returns and repairs, product assembly, customer orders | $28.50 | $35.63 |
| Team Member Level 2Licensed forklift operator, or a Specialist appointed for a specialised product category | $29.91 | $37.39 |
| Team Member Level 3Supervisory assistance, leading the team, allocating tasks, opening and closing the store and cash security | $31.33 | $39.16 |
Officeworks pay rates by age (junior rates)
Junior employees are paid a set percentage of the adult Team Member Level 1 rate for their age. Junior rates (cl 10.4) apply only at Level 1; juniors appointed to Level 2 or 3 get the adult rate. The agreement prints no band for 20-year-olds, so they are paid the adult rate.
| Age | % of adult | Full-time & part-time | Casual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 18 | 60% | $17.10 | $21.38 |
| 18 | 70% | $19.95 | $24.94 |
| 19 | 85% | $24.23 | $30.29 |
| 20 and over | 100% | $28.50 | $35.63 |
The percentages are the instrument’s own. The dollar figures are our arithmetic — the percentage applied to the adult Team Member Level 1 rate, rounded to the cent — because the instrument does not print junior dollars. Your payslip may differ by a cent.
For how junior rates work across every award, and when you move to the adult rate, see junior pay rates in Australia.

What this page does not show
We publish only what we could read from a primary source. Left off rather than estimated:
- Officeworks' own 2026 pay table — not public; the dollars are the agreement's formula.
- Pay for 20-year-olds — the agreement prints no band for age 20; we treat them as adult.
- Customer Fulfilment Centre pay (separate agreement AE528025) and salaried roles.

How this page is sourced▼
Every rate on this page was read from the Officeworks Store Operations Agreement 2024 (AG2024/3078, AE526143) as lodged with the Fair Work Commission on 24 September 2026. Nothing is estimated or averaged. Junior dollar figures the instrument does not print are calculated from its own percentages and labelled as such.
Rates change on dates written into the agreement, and a new agreement can replace this one. Re-check against your payslip and the instrument itself; the Fair Work Ombudsman (13 13 94) can confirm what applies to you.
